ACLU to SD Lawmakers: We're Watching |
The 87th Legislative Session opened Tuesday and this year promises to be just as lively as its predecessors. Debates on abortion, texting, guns, immigration, human rights, and more, are on the table.
We've got our awesome Advocate, Tiffany, keeping things real with the lawmakers and lobbyists in Pierre. The ACLU of South Dakota is determined to make sure civil liberties, freedom, justice and equality are at the heart of those debates and represented fairly and accurately.
That's why we created the following image of a vigilant Lady Justice; this message can be viewed by drivers along Highway 83 driving north into Pierre. In the coming months, you'll see her image plastered everywhere, because this Lady Justice represents the ACLU's commitment to all South Dakotans - we're watching everything that goes down at the capitol.
We're watching out for YOU.
