UPDATE: Governor Noem signed Senate Bill 102 into law on Feb. 25.
Senate Bill 102 would protect voter registration information for certain voters and allow voters who have an active protective order or live in a shelter to keep their voter registration information private.
We support Senate Bill 102 because it will expand voting access to people who were previously unregistered because they could not make their address public. Many survivors of domestic violence forego voting for this reason.
