It is the foundation of a vibrant democracy, and without it, other fundamental rights, like the right to vote, would wither away.

Reproductive Freedom

Abortion is one of the most common medical procedures performed today, and it's incredibly safe. But laws that make it difficult if not impossible for a woman to get an abortion if she needs one, particularly if she is poor, are increasing at an alarming pace.

Smart Justice

Today, more than 2.2 million people are in American jails and prisons. Nearly 4.7 million people are on probation or parole. And nearly 70 million people are living with a criminal record.
