South Dakota lawmakers are taking aim at diversity on college campuses.

Use your free speech rights where it matters most and show the Board of Regents that South Dakota is at its best when it embraces people of all races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities, and more.

The Intellectual Diversity Public Conversation will take place on June 26, 2019 in the Wolster Celebration Hall at the SDSU Alumni Center (815 Medary Avenue, on the corner of 8th Street and Medary Avenue) on South Dakota State University's Campus from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Participants who are hoping to speak, will be given five minutes to share their thoughts on the topic of intellectual diversity. This event was created in an effort to gain public input on the legislature's recent attempts to change the Board of Regent's free speech policies on campus.

Earlier this month in our response to the legislative commentary on this, we sent a letter (below) to the Board of Regents which laid out how the Board could develop effective ways to meet the definition and objective of intellectual diversity.

This is a rare opportunity to get in front of South Dakota's Board of Regents with an opportunity to voice your thoughts on free speech and the value of diversity, please consider attending.
