It’s that time of year again when all eyes – and ears – are on Pierre. The 2022 South Dakota Legislative Session starts on Tuesday, Jan. 11.

Over the next few months, hundreds of bills will be proposed. While some will get voted down and others retooled and enacted into law, it is important to ensure these changes preserve and strengthen South Dakota's constitutional rights, not hinder them.

We’ll be monitoring a wide variety of bills and working to defend and protect the civil liberties of all South Dakotans.

But before legislators return to Pierre next week, we want to give you a preview of our legislative priorities for 2022. Join us at on Monday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. MT / 12 p.m. CT on YouTube to learn more about what to expect this year – and what you can do to help.

With bills that focus on reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ and Two Spirit equality, and classroom censorship, and more, it’s going to be quite the ride. But with your support and energy, we can make a difference.
