Summary

Join members from the ACLU and co-sponsors on Feb. 26 for voting rights education, empowerment, and the history of voter suppression in our country.

Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy and the fundamental right upon which all our civil liberties rest. But politicians across the country continue to engage in voter suppression, efforts that include additional obstacles to registration, cutbacks on early voting, and strict voter identification requirements.

That’s why we invite you to attend Better Together: Voter Registration and Conversation, an educational event sponsored by Establishing Sustainable Connections and co-hosted by a number of local organizations, including the ACLU of South Dakota.

Join us from 6 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 26 at the Oak View Library, 3700 E. 3rd St., for a discussion on the importance of voting and the history of voter suppression. If you haven’t already registered to vote, you’ll be able to do so then, too.

Bring a friend! We hope to see you there.
