Pride is ______. (Fill in the blank)

Pride means being a safe and supportive mom to anyone whose parents have turned away from them.

How do you show your Pride year-round?

As silly as it sounds, wearing my Free Mom Hugs shirt with the rainbow on it. It's a passively active way to show support. I'm still waiting for someone to come and give me a hug.

What do you have to say to politicians who support anti-LGBTQ+ and Two Spirit legislation?

They are on the wrong side of history and humanity.

How can visibility in local government affect change in South Dakota?

Visibility anywhere affects change.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Being an ally doesn't have to be loud.

Join Amy's work to make South Dakota better for everyone my taking the Pride Pledge today!
